The Radiology (X-Ray) Department here at NRMC provides comprehensive diagnostic imaging in the following areas:
1. Routine and Fluoroscopy (R&F)
2. Nuclear Medicine, (NM)
3. Ultra Sound (US)
4. Computed Tomography (CT),
5. Mammography (Mammo)
6. Positron Emission Tomography (PET/CT)
7. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). ( phone number 601-442-2585, separate from X-Ray)

All services are approved by the American College of Radiology; F.D.A. and Mississippi State Department of Health.

STAFF:
The Radiology Department consists of eleven full-time radiologic technologists (X-ray Techs), one part-time radiologic technologist, one transporter, one receptionist and one transcriptionist. All X-ray Techs are in good standing with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologist and are also licensed by The Mississippi State Department of Health Professional Branch as a Medical Radiation Technologist. All X-ray Techs and our transporter maintain certification in CPR through The American Heart Association. Two of our X-ray Techs are also registered in Ultra Sound and are in good standing with The Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.

SCHEDULING:
Our department is always open, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. However, if you wish to make an appointment for a procedure, please call our department Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at 601-443-2714. To make an appointment , you must have in hand an order from your doctor, OR have your doctor call us to make the appointment.

THE DAY OF YOUR TEST
On the day of your scheduled appointment, when you arrive at NRMC, you must first stop in Admitting to do the necessary paperwork. After this is done someone will escort you to our department, so we can begin to provide you with our service. The length of time you will spend in our department depends on what test(s) you are to have. The results of your test(s) will be sent to your Doctor within 24 to 48 hours.
