NATCHEZ REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER ANNOUNCES BOARD OF TRUSTEE APPOINTMENTS Dr. Jennifer Russ Accepts Appointment and Dan Bland Accepts Reappointment Natchez Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce that Dr. Jennifer Russ has accepted the appointment by the Adams County Board of Supervisors to be the physician representative on the Board of Trustees. According to Supervisor and Board President Henry Watts, “Dr. Russ came highly recommended by the Medical Staff at Natchez Regional as well as the Homochitto Valley Medical Society. It is important to the Board of Supervisors that the physicians have input on the Board of Trustees,” added Watts. Dr. Ed Daly, Chief of Staff at Natchez Regional expressed his approval of the Board of Supervisor’s most recent appointment. “As a Pediatrician and one of a few female physicians in our area, in addition to her commitment to maternal and child health, Dr. Russ is a powerful advocate for quality community based healthcare services,” stated Daly. Dr. Russ will be replacing outgoing Trustee member Dr. William Godfrey. Both Watts and Daly expressed appreciation to Dr. Bill Godfrey for his many years of unselfish devotion, loyalty and support to Natchez Regional Medical Center as a Board of Trustee member since February 2002. The Board of Supervisors also reappointed Dan Bland for another three year term on the Board of Trustees. “As the hospital undergoes a strategic transition, the Board of Supervisors believe it is important that the continuity of leadership on the Board of Trustees continues,” stated Watts. “Dan Bland, along with Dr. Jennifer Russ; and other current board members Mr. Bill Ernst; Mrs. Renza Grennell; Mr. Bernie Pyron; Rev. Leroy White and Father Chip Davis are fully committed to the successful future of Natchez Regional Medical Center,” added Watts.
