NATCHEZ REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER ANNOUNCES EXCELLENT PERFORMER AWARDS Robert Harley Mercer and Ruth King Recognized as Outstanding Employees Scott Phillips, CEO of Natchez Regional Medical Center, is pleased to announce the quarterly award winners for excellent performers at the hospital. “At Natchez Regional Medical Center, we recognize employees for their contributions and dedication to customer service. Excellent Performers are those employees who are recognized by their co-workers for their commitment to go the extra mile to be courteous and helpful to all customers. It is my honor to announce Robert Harley Mercer and Ruth King as recipients of this quarter’s Excellent Performers awards,” stated Phillips. Ruth King, Unit Secretary in the Emergency Department, has been employed at Natchez Regional Medical Center for six years. According to her co-workers, Ruth is the calm and soothing presence behind the sometimes hectic pace of the Emergency Department. She is always smiling and going above and beyond to assist the physicians and staff. She can often be found interacting with the patients and their families, offering a kind and compassionate attitude to everyone with whom she comes in contact. When not taking care of patients and co-workers at Natchez Regional, Ruth enjoys reading, sewing and making floral arrangement. She attends Mt. Sinai Baptist Church and is involved in the Delta Epsilon Chi Marketing organization. She also has been recognized as a 4-H Club Outstanding Sponsor. Robert Harley Mercer has been employed with the hospital since 2005. Harley has a Master Plumbing License and is a valuable asset in the Facilities Management Department, with over 14 years of plumbing experience. According to the employees at Natchez Regional Medical Center, Harley has one of the most positive attitudes and his willingness to assist and help with all Facilities Management projects is a tremendous asset to our hospital. In addition to his plumbing expertise, Harley is trained in all aspects of Facilities Management. Harley’s hobbies and interests include playing golf, hunting and fishing.
