ACHIEVES CERTIFICATION IN INFECTION CONTROL
Kim McDaniel Passes Certification Exam
Kim McDaniel, RN, Infection Control and Employee Health Coordinator at Natchez Regional Medical Center, recently became certified by the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. (CBIC). The mission of CBIC is to improve the quality of healthcare by increasing the number of professionals whose knowledge mastery in infection control and applied epidemiology ahs been demonstrated by certification.
“Kim’s certification represents her commitment to professional growth in the field of infection prevention/control by keeping her knowledge and skills current to better our hospital’s infection control function and its success,” stated Scott Phillips, CEO, Natchez Regional Medical Center. “We are extremely proud of her accomplishment and value her contributions to our hospital,” added Lana Morgan, VP, Director of Nursing at Natchez Regional.
Through Kim’s study and hard work, she now has an internationally recognized level of knowledge in the Infection Control Field. Natchez Regional is also fortunate to have two certified Infection Control professionals. Lana Morgan has been certified for nearly ten years.
