The Seniors Behavioral Health Unit offers medically supervised 24 hour inpatient care in a therapeutic environment for Senior Adult patients requiring acute psychiatric treatment and crisis stabilization.
Service available include:
Psychiatric and Medical Evaluations
- Medication Management
- Memory Impairment Assessment
- Group Therapy
- Recreation Therapy
- Patient and Family Education
- Physical and Occupational Therapy
- Discharge Planning
The Structured Outpatient Program is a medically supervised program tailored to meet the needs of Senior Adults requiring mental health support who do not need the acute treatment of an inpatient psychiatric facility. Service are available Monday - Friday for Senior Adults experiencing grief, persistent worries, loss of enjoyment, fears, irritability, avoidance of social contacts, sleep disturbance or other related problems may benefit from the program. It is a less costly, less restrictive and more flexible alternative to full hospitalization, but offers a more structured and intense treatment program than periodic outpatient therapy.
This program provides mental health services to patients who are able to remain in the community but require frequent support and stabilization. It also serves as an important transitional resource between discharge from patient care and reintegration to full community life.
