 Here at Natchez Regional Medical Center, we are committed to providing quality health care in the most compassionate manner possible. Our Critical Care Unit embrace this philosophy and operates on the principle that every person is an individual, having individual needs.
In time of illness, he/she may not be able to meet those needs through their own efforts. It is during this phase of life, our qualified staff of Registered Nurses, Patient Care Assistants, Monitor Technicians and Unit Secretaries will be there to assist the physicians and other healthcare team members in meeting those needs.
Our Intensive Medical -Surgical Care/Coronary Care department functions to provide continuous specialized care at a higher level of intensity than is available on the general medical-surgical floor. Our department is located on the 2nd floor of the hospital. This 8-bed unit is designed for the more acutely ill, utilizing modern equipment and technology to monitor and assist the physicians to deliver a more favorable patient outcome. Under the directions of an all RN staff, immediate patient care is delivered as a 24 hour service. Just when you need us most, we'll be there with that one on one care you expect.
An additional aspect of our Care Unit is our Telemetry Department. The Telemetry system enables the less critical patient more mobility, while the nursing staff and monitor technicians continue to monitor them for cardiac dysrhythmia when required.
Our units are designed with modern comforts for the patients as well the families during their time to visit. The volunteer department services our spacious family waiting room located in this area. Their friendly,compassionate charm is welcomed by families waiting to hear news about their loved ones. The chapel is accessible at all hours for a quiet retreat. We welcome pastoral visits in each department.
Visitation in the Telemetry department complies with the rest of the hospital: 9:00am to 9:00pm.
Visitation in the Intensive/Coronary Care department are restricted for the benefit of the patients:
8:30 am - 9:00 am
12:00 pm- 12:30 pm
5:00 pm - 5:30 pm
8:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Please limit visitors to 3 at a time. Please, no children under 12 years of age admitted for visitation.
